SA: Golf club investigation to proceed quickly says minister

Talks will be held to determine the course of an investigation into yesterday's collapseof the roof of Adelaide's Riverside Golf Club, which claimed the lives of two women.

South Australian Workplace Relations Minister MICHAEL WRIGHT says the government willensure the investigation is given a high priority and won't drag on.

The Workplace Services Department, the local council, police and engineering expertswill determine the parameters for inquires to proceed.

Mr WRIGHT says the key question will be determining the cause of the collapse.

Police are yet to release the names of the two victims, aged 54 and 70.

Their bodies were recovered last night after remaining trapped under debris for aboutseven hours.

Eight other women were hurt in the collapse and treated in hospital, mostly for minor injuries.

The Riverside Club is closed today with members and workers being offered counselling.

Police are also preparing a report for the state coroner who might instigate his owninvestigation into the tragedy.
