QLD: Busway contracts awarded

BRISBANE, Dec 15 AAP - Three contracts worth $126 million to extend Brisbanes south-east
bus way have been finalised, Transport Minister Steve Bredhauer said.

He said the extention would take the bus way from South Brisbane to Mt Gravatt and create
1000 jobs during construction.

Mr Bredhauer said the successful companies were Thiess Contractors, Concrete Constructions
and Moggill Constructions.

He said traffic disruptions would occur during construction which starts within weeks.
