NSW: Man dies after Liverpool shooting

Police say the man who died after a shooting at a hotel in Sydney's south-west overnight
was a 22-year-old from Sadlier in Sydney's west.

A police spokesman says the man was standing outside the hotel on the Hume Highway,
at Liverpool, when he was shot several times in the abdomen.

Hotel patrons helped the man as the offender fled on foot.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital but died a short time later.

Police say investigations are continuing.
